Has it ever been difficult to admit that maybe, just maybe, you weren’t right in a situation?
Have you ever confessed to doing something all on your own?
Happy Monday everyone! When writing this article I couldn’t help but think of that poster in my daughter’s classroom when she was in grade school. “Integrity is doing the right thing, when no one is looking.” Do you remember that? Let’s be honest. There are times when we make hasty decisions and typically when they are hasty, they aren’t great decisions. So, what do you do when it’s time to confess?
Boyfriend Turns Himself In
One Detroit man was faced with that very decision. The police were looking for a 19-year-old woman’s boyfriend after the shooting that killed her. According to the Detroit Free Press,
Police said a 19-year-old woman was shot in the 3900 block of Garvin on Detroit’s east side Saturday around 11 a.m. The shooting happened after the two got in a verbal fight, police spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens said in a news release. Police searched for the man throughout the night, she said.”
After a night of thinking, the boyfriend turned himself in.
A Hard Choice
That is a hard choice to make. However, in some situations, it is a wise choice. When turning yourself in, it is critical to have experience legal representation. It is imperative to have someone in your corner and who has got your back. There are often huge benefits to turning yourself in and with the right defense attorney, you can obtain those benefits.
I do have to take a second and congratulate the Michigan Wolverines on making it to the 2013 NCAA Final. I know I will be watching tonight’s game. It wasn’t just the Wolverines that did well this weekend, but so did the Tigers. What an exciting weekend for Michigan sports.
