Detroit’s Dream Cruise Up and Running

Looking for some fun activities to do while at the dream cruise? 

If you have grown up in Detroit, then you have heard of the Woodward Dream Cruise. During the third weekend in August, classic cars flood in from all over the country and the people of Detroit go cruisin’. On this glorious dream cruise Friday, we wanted to take some time to highlight what metro Detroit’s Dream Cruise Woodward corridor has to offer tonight.

There are some great restaurants to try right on Woodward. Sit back, enjoy your food and drink while watching the cars cruise by.

  • Duggan’s Irish Pub
  • Hunter House
  • Imperial Taco Bar

Ferndale Vintage Emergency Vehicles

Today, you’ll see the east side of nine mile lined with classic ambulances, fire trucks, military vehicles, and police cars. The show starts at 12 pm and will continue till 5 pm. At 5pm, you’ll catch the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Ferndale boasts music, art, kid friendly events and of course food till Saturday.

Forgotten Harvest Strolling Dinner

If you are looking for something to do in Berkley, the Forgotten Harvest strolling dinner might be for you. It is tonight between 5 pm and 10 pm at the Westborn Market. At $150 per ticket you’ll get:

  • Amazing views of the dream cruise
  • Fund raising for a food bank that provided more than 41 million meals to residents in the tri-county area in 2012
  • Food
  • Entertainment

Downtown Berkley

Tonight at 6:30 pm, will be dancing in the streets while enjoying a classic car show.

If you are looking for more to do, the Woodward Dream Cruise Events can help you out. During this celebration it is important to have fun, but make sure you don’t have too much fun. Michigan’s blood alcohol level is still .08, you still need to wear your seat belt and Michigan does not allow texting and driving.
